Staffordshire County Council Arts Grant Scheme

Scheme Outline 
The Arts Grants Scheme aims to improve access to the arts for everyone in Staffordshire through providing funding for arts and community groups with creative ideas that are planning an arts project or event, which will benefit the community and promote accessibility.
Eligible Costs 
Activities should be arts-based and offer diversity and inclusivity.  Arts projects could include: youth arts; creative writing; music concerts or festivals; film and media; community drama productions; and/or public art projects.
Funding/Support 
Grant awards for 2011/12 are available up to £600
Match Funding 
Partnership funding of 20% of total project costs is required
Who can Apply? 
Arts or community groups based within Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent)

Staffordshire County Council – Staffordshire Local Community Fund

Scheme Outline
Each county councillor in Staffordshire has £10,000 to spend on community projects in their area. All you need to do is download an application form and send it to your local county councillor. The broad purpose of the scheme is to enable county councillors to use grants to promote the wellbeing of the inhabitants of their electoral divisions.
Funding/Support
Grants range from a few hundred pounds to larger grants of £1,000 and over helping many organisations within the county councillor’s division
Who can Apply?
Community groups, parish councils and schools
Deadline
The scheme starts on 1 April in each year unless it is an election year then it will start after that election date.

Newcastle-under-Lyme - Cultural Grants Scheme

Scheme Outline 
Financial assistance is available for arts and community groups to develop arts and cultural projects or events that benefit the community of Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Eligible Costs 
Revenue costs associated with individual projects or events
Funding/Support 
Grants of up to £1,500 per project
Match Funding
Partnership funding of 10% of the total project costs is required

Grants to enable local community and voluntary groups in the borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme to carry out small-scale projects that will improve the quality of life in local communities.

Expenditure which exceeds £1,000 will need to be funded from other sources

Lichfield District Council Grant Aid Programme
Scheme Outline
Lichfield District Council offers a variety of grants to support sports, cultural and    community based projects. Grants are available to parish councils helping with community projects, large or small projects by local groups and organisations, and organisations who help support participation in sport, leisure or cultural activities.

Grants are up to a maximum of £1000 are available.

High Sheriff Fund
Scheme Outline
The High Sheriff Fund provides small grants for small community groups, with a specific need. The grant should make a substantial difference to the project and they would prefer to fund equipment or training costs associated with one off or annual events, as opposed to running costs for them
