Workshops For Community Games Organisers

We want the West Midlands Community Games to leave the region with a legacy of skilled event organisers who will be able to continue organising events and activities beyond the lifetime of this programme. To do that we are developing a comprehensive programme that will ensure Community Games organisers get the support they need at the right time.

We have developed a workshop to help you to plan your event: Organising Your Community Games. The three-hour workshop is aimed at people who have little or no experience of organising an event. It's free of charge and once you have attended you will be able to:

  • Decide the scale and scope of your Community Games
  • Understand the links between Community Games and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • Identify the main aspects of your role as Community Games organiser
  • Produce a project plan for your Community Games
  • Identify where to go for additional help and support

You will also receive a free copy of the Community Games Toolkit.
