StreetGames
Launched in 2007, StreetGames is the only national charity dedicated to developing sport with disadvantaged communities and making sport accessible to young people regardless of their social circumstances.
We help individuals develop their sports and leadership skills through participation and volunteering, fulfil their ambitions and help bring communities closer together via sport.
How we work
StreetGames is a national network of doorstep sports projects delivered by local providers. There is no ‘one-size-fits-all solution’, everywhere and everyone is different.
Who we target
StreetGames' projects reach young people who:
- Live in disadvantaged communities.
- Don’t have access to sport in their everyday lives.
- May not be interested in traditional sporting routes but DO want to become more active.
- Have the potential to lead/coach sports sessions in their community.
Community Games Programme
StreetGames is very happy to be working in partnership with Legacy Trust UK and the County Sports Partnership Network West Midlands to deliver the Community Games Programme. Given the reach that StreetGames has within communities around the region, we envisage a very successful programme of activity leading up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
