Cropredy Community Games

To celebrate the playing field becoming a Queen Elizabeth II field, Cropredy a small village in Oxfordshire, hosted its Community Games. Over 150 people turned up on Saturday 14th July, despite bad weather in the morning, for a day of sport and fun!

Rounders was a highlight of the day; in fact it was so much fun that some informal games are going to be organised in the future to meet the demand of all those who are now hooked on the sport.

The day involved a whole host of other activities including tug-o-war, which everyone enjoyed - straining every muscle in pursuit of the glory of knowing that they were stronger than their opponents.

Overall the event was a fantastic way to bring the community together, introduce many children to new sports and celebrate the playing field being protected for future generations. Thanks go to the volunteers who worked so hard in organising the event.
